ABOUT US
Ariel Green: Experts powering our clean energy future
Mitigating Technology Risk
The Ariel Green Solution
Ariel Green offers investment-grade Technology Performance Insurance (TPI) designed to ensure clean energy projects secure financing at competitive rates in order to facilitate their construction and propel us towards the Net Zero target.
Why Does Arial Green Offer TPI?
The world is striving to reach Net Zero, when carbon emissions from human activity are reduced to be at or below carbon sinks. There is an increasing need to finance the trillions required to make the transition to clean energy.
A substantial portion of this funding will be directed towards innovative technologies, that by their nature are commercially unproven. These present considerable ‘technology risk’ due to their potential for underperformance.
Removing The Risk Barrier
This risk often acts as a barrier, preventing the access to affordable capital necessary to scale-up clean energy projects. Ariel Green is committed to overcoming this hurdle.

Jan Napiorkowski
Managing Director
Jan’s trailblazing work has revolutionized the insurability of performance guarantees within the clean energy sector. Initially spearheading Munich Re’s performance insurance practices, he moved on to lead Ariel Re’s business from 2015 onwards. After gaining early experience in the broader insurance and reinsurance industry, Jan underwrote an industry-first performance warranty policy in 2010, dedicating his career thereafter to the development and deployment of Technology Performance Insurance. This dedication has resulted in the insurance of over 85GW solar performance warranties and more than 8GW in project performance guarantees across various sectors, such as solar, fuel cell, bioconversion, and battery storage. Jan’s academic credentials include a MSc in Physics and an MBA Insurance and Risk Management
